Once again Mendis was unplayable for India but even before he had come into the picture, there were some good inroads made by the Sri Lankan medium pacers.
This was a victory set up by the bowlers. India batting first after winning the toss could post just the 146 on the board which was no way going to be enough.
So, that was an easy victory, by 8 wickets for Sri Lanka to take a 1-0 lead in this 5-ODI Series.
